About IIT Ropar (iHub – AWaDH)
i-Hub AWaDH is at the forefront of revolutionising Agricultural and Water Technology Development. Established under the esteemed Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, AWaDH is a beacon of innovation within the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, functioning under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM – ICPS).
Innovation Mission Punjab
Innovation Mission Punjab, a joint effort of the Punjab Government and private sector, seeks to transform Punjab into a premier innovation hub. Through strategic collaboration and robust support mechanisms, it aims to bolster the state’s startup ecosystem and drive entrepreneurial success.

ISC is a multi-stakeholder platform that provides an integrated approach to sustainable WASH practices and brings together the private sector, government, financial institutions to drive sustainable sanitation practices.

AWaDH team will invite applications and entries from startups and entrepreneurs through rolling basis or by open innovation challenges.
The Metrics based screening will be done by internal committee. Startups with prior technology, innovation, IP and Patents shall be prioritized.
Participants have to go through internal pitch evaluation session in front of the internal Incubator Seed Management Committee (ISMC)
The startups selected in R3 will have to pitch Infront of the external expert committee consist of Investors, VC Firms and External ISMC.
Startups recommended by Incubator Seed Management Committee and Demo Day panel will be funded through Grant, Equity or loan of upto 50L.
We also invite your support in terms of potential investment opportunities in the showcased startups. We also extend an invitation for your support regarding potential investment opportunities in the showcased startups. We are pleased to mention that we are open to exploring joint investment prospects.
We would like your support as a jury member to finalise the startups, and help us to decide on the quantum of funds that may be invested in them.
Discussion / MoU / SoI to support and enable deep-tech-focused startups and to launch initiatives at SAMRIDHI.
We are open to exploring joint investment prospects in startups that align with your vision, investment thesis and show promising potential. Investment models can be discussed together if you identify any startups during the pitching sessions that capture your interest.
To share in your wide network, communities, social media and recommendations for startups to Pitch / Exhibit.
General Terms
1.Start-ups working in the Water and sanitation (WASH) including waste management sector that have a product/prototype ready to be taken to the market or need support in improving and scaling the product.
2. Start-ups that have executed at least one commercial Pilot will be eligible
3. Startups no more than 5 years old will be eligible for this program
4. Women founders are encouraged to apply for this program.
5. The entity should be registered in India
6. A business entity/startup that is registered as a Pvt. Ltd. or Limited Liability Partnership or Partnership would be considered and would be eligible to apply for this program.
7. Let’s collaborate and explore mutually beneficial investment avenues to drive the success of these startups and foster innovation in the industry. For the benefits of the SWACH focus startups, we have put together a corpus of 2.5 Cr INR fund to support 12 final shortlisted startups, with a cap of 25 Lakh max, depending on various factors, including requirement, stage, patent, product, revenue, market, team etc during the Conclave.
