IIT Ropar – Technology and Innovation Foundation is a Section – 8 company founded to support the initiatives of the established Technology Innovation Hub – AWaDH (Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub) at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar in the framework of National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM – ICPS) by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The TIF supports deep tech R&D-driven startups and research community members, in the domain of Agriculture and Water and provides incubation and acceleration support to technology and innovation-based ideas and products towards sustainable agriculture, and the environment, by leveraging IoT, AI, and ICPS.
SAMRIDHI embodies a visionary celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship. Initiative prominently feature the technological prowess of AWaDH and its startup portfolio, creating a platform for new ideas and serving as a facilitative platform for the seamless integration of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) technology within the agritech ecosystem.
SAMRIDHI aims to catalyse Innovation and Entrepreneurship by recognizing and honouring startups through Innovation and Technology Awards across various categories including Agriculture Automation and Information Systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), Water Treatment and Management, Stubble Management Systems & Urban Farming, Nuclear Applications in Agriculture and Water, and lastly, Water and Soil Assessment Process.

AWaDH team will invite applications and entries from startups and entrepreneurs through rolling basis or by open innovation challenges.
The Metrics based screening will be done by internal committee. Startups with prior technology, innovation, IP and Patents shall be prioritized.
Participants have to go through internal pitch evaluation session in front of the internal Incubator Seed Management Committee (ISMC)
The startups selected in R3 will have to pitch Infront of the external expert committee consist of Investors, VC Firms and External ISMC.
Startups recommended by Incubator Seed Management Committee and Demo Day panel will be funded through Grant, Equity or loan of upto 50L.
We also invite your support in terms of potential investment opportunities in the showcased startups. We also extend an invitation for your support regarding potential investment opportunities in the showcased startups. We are pleased to mention that we are open to exploring joint investment prospects
We would like your support as a jury member to finalise the startups, and help us to decide on the quantum of funds that may be invested in them.

For the benefits of the deep-tech R&D focus startups, we have put together a corpus of 4 Cr INR fund to support 12 final shortlisted startups, with a cap of 50 Lakh max, depending on various factors, including requirement, stage, patent, product, revenue, market, team etc during the Conclave.
