The AWaDH CPS Lab is equipped with advanced IoT kits developed by IIT Ropar, offering a 24/7 plug-and-play module for hands-on experimentation. The facility also features cutting-edge resources, including the Voltera V one, Gateway, BLE Development Kit, BLE Node, Low Power Camera Module, Air Sense, Weather Pro and AI & ML workstations, and various environmental sensors. This lab is set to play a crucial role in incorporating CPS into BFCET’s curriculum and will serve as a central hub for CPS training in the Punjab region.

Notably, the establishment of the AWaDH CPS Lab marks IIT Ropar’s outreach to the State of Punjab, aiming to support CPS skilling initiatives across the region. By partnering with Baba Farid College of Engineering and college, Bathinda, the lab will play a pivotal role in embedding CPS education within the academic syllabus, offering a range of educational and skill-enhancing opportunities, especially tapping students from nearby colleges, ITIs and polytechnics.

The inauguration also marked the launch of joint training programs, including ‘train the trainers’ and ‘train the students’ modules, designed to provide both theoretical and practical education in CPS.
