IIT Ropar Inaugurates 18th Cyber-Physical Systems Lab in Solan under NM-ICPS

Building India’s Deep-Tech Future: 18th IIT Ropar CPS Lab Powers Innovation at Shoolini University

Innovation is reaching new heights as IIT Ropar continues to expand its vision of a tech-powered India. In a significant milestone, the 18th Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Lab, powered by NM-ICPS, was inaugurated at Shoolini University, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. This marks a transformative step in bridging the gap between academic research and real-world technological solutions.

The CPS Lab at Shoolini University, an initiative under the iHub – AWaDH at IIT Ropar, is designed to empower students, researchers, and innovators. It features over 100 hands-on experiments in cutting-edge fields like sensors, embedded systems, 3D printing, and advanced components, allowing users to turn ideas into tangible solutions. This collaborative environment will help develop the skills necessary to lead the next wave of technological advancements in India.

The inauguration event was graced by Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, Founder and Chancellor of Shoolini University, who emphasized the importance of innovation and skill development for the future of India. The CPS Lab will serve as a hub for not only research and development but also entrepreneurship, providing a platform for the creation of prototypes, fostering a culture of innovation, and nurturing new ventures at the grassroots level.

At IIT Ropar, we are committed to strengthening India’s tech ecosystem, driving interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting the growth of deep-tech innovations across the country.
